Hello SCL members,
We’re anticipating wanting a few more people to serve on the SCL steering committee and would like to open the process up for self-nominations. If you are interested, please email me directly (candace@buildinggreen.com) by Nov 5th.
The Steering Committee meets monthly and serves the important role of helping direct the activities of the network—including providing feedback about the content for our Summits and events. Over the past year, we’ve also relied on the Steering Committee to make big decisions about the Contractor’s Commitment and to refine the membership criteria to boost engagement. It is not a huge time commitment beyond the monthly calls, but it is a great way to help us ensure this network is serving real needs.
In selecting a few new members, we’ll be keeping an eye on diversity in terms of company size, geography, and gender distribution. All are welcome to self-nominate, but we want to particularly encourage those from big firms in the South, Midwest, and West coasts.
