Hi All,
I am working on a Core and Shell Project, where the majority of the building is an open plan office space with meeting rooms.
How do I account for the meeting rooms when calculating the FTE?
The ventilation strategy is based on 1 per 8 meters squared, taking the maximum number of occupants (worst case), including meeting rooms.
Should the FTE calculations, therefore, account for the meeting room occupancy numbers bearing in mind that this will then also affect cycle rack numbers etc. Or if the energy model occupancy numbers are higher will this cause problems?
Your help with this is much appreciated.

Refer to Appendix 1 in the 2009 BD&C Reference Guide. Ventilation calcs should be based on worse case occupancy conditions in the open office space and conference rooms, while FTE should be based on floor area of the C&S spaces. I'm thinking that SF of the open office space and the conference rooms should be used to establish default FTE.
