Hello,
The project I am working on is in zone LZ-1 (occupied part of a park).
We wish to pursue this credit but the architect want to have the possibility to lighten upwards the tower for some special events occasionally.
Is it acceptable ? The building is a museum. The special events would be during a concert once a month (8pm-11pm).

Architects are artists. They like to paint with light. This credit puts limits on how light can be used.
LZ1 has a limit of 0% uplight (Option 2). The only way I can think of complying is with the exception described as "lighting for theatrical purposes for stage, film, and video performances." Concerts sound like a stage performance. Describe the system well and how the uplights are only used during performances.
