Non-US Green-E Available?

Do anyone know if the Green-E supplier is limited in US?

Green-e is a US-based standard that is in use in the US and Canada. International projects can purchase US RECs to meet the credit requirements or demonstrate that a local/regional standard is equivalent to Green-e.

Thanks Marcus In the other word, for project aiming this credit, one has to purchase from US/Canada market only. I was told that RECs is available is China and it is much cheaper. But I have a feel that the RECs would not be available in Non-US/Non Canada Terriotries (due to Protectionism might be)

You are not necessarily required to purchase US RECs. As I said International projects can purchase US RECs to meet the credit requirements or demonstrate that a local/regional standard is equivalent to Green-e. In order to use Chinese RECs you would need to demonstrate that there is a standard equivalent to Green-e in place. The Green-e standard defines acceptable renewables including the age, the third-party accounting system in place to track transactions, and the renewables are not mandated by a government. See Green-e Energy National Standard v2.1- Section II, III (excluding G), Section IV (excluding A), and Section V. http://www.green-e.org/docs/energy/Appendix%20D_Green-e%20Energy%20National%20Standard.pdf
