Non-default Daily Use Values

What is non-default daily use values of water usage? How do I estimate them. This is required to be uploaded for the LEED-online WEp1. Thank you in advance for your help

Christie, I assume you're using the WEp1 calculator spreadsheet which uses the default daily usage rates based on the fixture type and occupant (i.e., three lavatory uses per FTE per day). The non-default column is there for projects in which occupants are expected to use a different usage rate than those outlined in the Reference Guide. If a project has a certain population that will use a specific fixture more or less than the default rate, then the non-default rate would take precedence. Be sure to provide a narrative explaining the different usage rate if you use one. Hope that answers your question!

Exactly what Gerren said. You will want to look at your user type and make adjustments with your client. For example, I always used a higher rate for OB-GYN clinics because pregnant women always have to use a bathroom at the doctors and they often bring other small children with them who can't resist a bathroom. ICU use will be less but there is still some.
