CS-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

No HVAC equipment in the Proposed Building

Hi,

I am working on the certification of a wharehous, in V2009 version.

The wharehouse only counts with ventilation, and no cooling or heating systems.

As per ASHRAE 992.1-2007, Appendix G, Table G3.1, Nº 10 HVAC Systems, c) the heating system classification shall be assumed to be electric, and th system characteristics shall be identical to the system modeled i the baseline building design, and as per d) the cooling system shall be identical to the system modeled in the baseline building design.

As per Table G3.1.1A, Baseline HVAC System Type for a Nonresidential Building and 3 Floors or Less and < 2300 m2 (because the conditioned space is  0 m2), and electric heating, the Baseline System would be System 4 - PSZ-HP.

Is this assumption right?,

Thank you.

Will heating/cooling system eventually be installed for a tenant in the warehouse portion? Is there going to be a fully conditioned office at some point?

Hi Marcus, thank you for your answer. No, no heating/cooling system is going to be installed.

So no conditioned space for an office either?

Tue, 04/05/2022 - 15:51

The wharehouse will count with axial fans for ventilation.

Where is the project located? So no conditioned office space is likely to be installed?

IT´S JUST A WHAREHOUSE...

Paula you do know that capital letters in this type of context is akin to yelling? I am trying to find out more information so that I can answer your question accurately. I do this as a volunteer and am just trying to help you. In order to do so I need to know more than you have provided in your original post and you are not even directly answering the questions I am asking. So I'm sorry if I am annoying you. Good luck with your project.

No Marcus, it was not my intention to yell at you, of course, I  did not  realize that capital letters were on. I would never yell at you nor anybody in this page, I know that you are helping as a volunteer and I appreciate it, you are not annoying me. I really don´t know how to apologize. Would you please forgive my blunder. Thank you and sorry.
