My question is if it is required to actually buy certified cleaning products for the prerequisite in order to demonstrate compliance. In many international projects, Green Seal- or UL-certified products are not available, and ISO 14024 Type I label products are rare, or inexistent. Would this lack of available green cleaning products preclude a project from pursuing certification altogether?

Hi Andres, you don't have to submit any cleaning products or equipment purchases for the prerequisite, just the policy. So, you can still pursue LEED-EBOM certification even if you're not able to purchase compliant cleaning products/equipment. Just submit a compliant Green Cleaning Policy and skip the related custodial purchasing credits.
