Great synopsis. Can the 4.1 BPDO credits be substituted for v4? The Beta guide seems to mention Optimize Energy Performance and Renewable Energy specifically.
Also, has anyone found the checkbox on LEED Online yet to indicate we want to use 4.1? We haven't been able to locate it on our projects yet.

Deborah, there is one-to-one credit substitution for any credit. The guide calls out those two because there are special circumstances.

Deborah,
Just confirmed from the USGBC Technical Solutions Director that the "check box" mentioned for LEEDv4.1 substitutions is not live just yet. Here is their advice on how to document LEEDv4.1 credit substitutions:
We are still working on updating the forms with the check box. In the meantime, our reviewers are prepared to be on alert to review for credit substitutions as we anticipate that many project will be using v4.1 credits on v4 projects.
The best path forward is to provide a short narrative in the “Special Circumstances” section of the form indicating that a v4.1 approach is being pursued. Our reviewers will take it from there.
