New job opportunity

Hi Gurus, given these crazy times and many good people being laid off - I'm hoping this is coming at a good time! Hope you are all safe and healthy! It's also flexible so if you are a parent of young child(ren) - also a good 'pandemic job' - sad that that's a "thing" now!

Job description: Project Manager for Green Building Startup

Do you want your every-day work to focus on making the world a better place? Are you passionate about sustainability and business? Do you want to work directly with company founder and CEO? Do you want to help disrupt and transform an industry and change lives? This is a great opportunity to create lasting impact, learn from an experienced founder and many industry thought leaders and get real life experience in the trenches!

This job is flexible and dynamic with tremendous growth potential as the company expands. You will be a project manager for the launch of a new software enterprise platform, working with a team of experienced industry leaders and subject matter experts to create solutions that will enable building owners, design and construction companies to make better decisions, faster.

If you are curious, a strategic thinker, independent and self-driven, a good communicator and compulsive about details, you will be a great fit for this role. Geographic location is not critical (US time-zone based preferred), the team is spread out and virtual regardless of the pandemic.

It is possible to start this position part time and become full time in 2021, if needed, for the right candidate and the hours will be flexible (not a strict 9-5).

Key abilities:

• Comfortable with self-direction and working independently but also able to collaborate well.

• Ability to handle, evaluate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

• Critical thinking to translate analytics into action.

• Well organized and detail-oriented.

• Ability to understand the details and functions of the software platform as it develops, track progress and also communicate and onboard beta testing partners (taking them through how to use the platform).

• Ability to manage communications amongst the team, with the development partners and users, using a variety of tools (Slack, Trello, etc).

These skills are not necessary, but would be a plus:

• Background in business and interest in business development.

• Excellent research and analytical skills.

• Ability to organize and present information visually for different audiences.

• Experience in the building industry and use of tools like BIM, Revit and other analytical tools.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, SurveyMonkey and Constant Contact.
