My new construction administrative office building project (federal project on a secure military base) has 750 full-time occupants (8 hour work day), 300 part-time occupants (4 hour work day), and 50 visitors per day. What number do I indicate for "Daily average transients (visitors)" on the PLf3 Form? I already indicated the number 50 for "Peak transients (visitors)" on the PLf3 Form.

I think you put the 300 part-time occupants as equivalent to 150 FTE, since these are regular occupants for work, they aren't considered transient one-time or occasional visitors, they are expected to use the facilities on a typical schedule, etc.

David - Thank you. I did calculate the 300 part-time occupants as 150FTE, so my total FTE is 900 (750FTE + 150FTE = 900 FTE). And, I have 50 transients (visitors) per day, so I indicated the number "50" in the "Peak transients (visitors)" field on the PLf3 Form. I am not understanding what number to show in the PLF3 Form for the "Daily average transients (visitors)" which is a different field from the "Peak transients (visitors)" field.

Peak is for the maximum number that would be present at any one time, while the average is for a typical day in total.
i.e. if ten people always come at noon and leave together, both numbers would be ten. But if five people come per hour except fifteen people at noon, then the peak would be fifteen and the daily total would be 7 hours x 5 + 1 hour x 15 = 50. (or however you think your 50 people will be transient in the facility...it could be level throughout the day, but more likely has some sort of midday peak).
Or for the military maybe the peak is at 8 a.m., early risers!

Thanks again David! Do you know if it is an issue with GBCI to actually have the same number (50) listed for both the "Peak transients (visitors)" and the "Daily average transients (visitors)" - because the visitors for this project are considered to be level throughout the day, making both numbers the same.
