We have a project that we registered with one name and the client decided to change their company name when the project was complete. We are still in the process of filling out all the templates. We have some templates that were filled out and uploaded with the original name we registered the project with. Will we have to re-enter all the information in new templates or can we leave the templates we have filled out and uploaded with the old name?

Hi Michelle,Did you already change the name of the project (in LEED-online) overall? I think you have to do that through feedback through GBCI. I suppose if you haven't dont it, and you don't want to change the company name in all the forms (though they may be linked in newer forms) you could change it to Company xzy (formally Company lmn). Something like that.

I had the same problem a few months ago. The owner's company name change. You have to contact the legal area of USGBC (button on the top right corner in LEED Online) and they'll tell you what documentation they need.
I think you will have to change all the templates to the new name, but I'm not so sure about that.

Is this v.3? Option 1, update to new name via GBCI feedback. Option 2, (depending on the bulk of documentation you already uploaded) continue using the old name, and at the end of the certification process, you'll have a option to change the name of the project being issued a certification. I encountered this option in v2.2.
