Hi,
I'm working on a project located outside the U.S. and more than 50% of the project is classified as office. I entered all the information into Portfolio Manager and the project automatically gets an ENERGY STAR Score of 87, but next to it there is a note in blue that says 'Not elegible to apply for ENERGY STAR Certification' because the project is outside the U.S.
However the reference guide says 'Many projects, even projects outside the U.S., fall under Case 1 because most buildings are eligible for an
ENERGY STAR rating'
I would like if I should follow: Case 1-The project is elegible for an ENERGY STAR rating or Case 2-The project type is not elegible for an ENERGY STAR rating.
Many thanks.

Hi Ana, check out this FAQ from Energy Star: https://portfoliomanager.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/211027238-Are-pro.... Buildings outside the U.S. can get a 1 - 100 Energy Star score (if they're a "rate-able" space type), but they can't get the official certification/label. So since your building type is eligible to use the program and get a score, you can use Case 1 - but you can't get the official label. Hope this helps!

That's great news!
So which documentation do we have to get from Energy Star to achieve compliance under Case-1?
Many thanks !
