Hi all,
We are developing the construction and demolition waste management plan to accomplish with both MRp2 and Option 1 of MRc5, but related to the Land-clearing debris we started to get confused at reading the prerequisite's requirements and the credit's requirements.
The NC guide tell us "Land-Clearing debris is not considered construction, demolition or renovation waste that can contribute to waste diversion" Wich makes us assume that it can contribute to the total amount of construction generated waste. Besides, in the step-by-step guidance, the guide says " The plan must account for all materials, including land-clearing debris, ADC, and other materials not contributing to diversion but not included in the diverted waste total"
However, when we take a look at MRc5 credit's requirements to implement the plan, the step-by-step guidance of the V4 Guide says: " Exclude hazardous waste, land clearing debris, soil and landscaping materials".
Do land-clearing debris need to be only exclude of waste diversion streams or need to be also exclude for the total amount of Construction and Demolition waste?
Thank you in advance.
Regards.

Hello Angel,
Construction Waste Management Plan (CWMP) should address how land clearing debris was handled, and land clearing debris should not be included in the final waste report. Any ADC produced by the facilities has to be included in the final waste report as landfill waste. ADC has to be included as waste in the submitted final waste report, whereas the soil/land clearing debris/hazardous materials/other materials not contributing to diversion should not be included in the final waste calculation.
Thanks!
