Pilot-Credits LTpc134:Advanced Transportation Monitoring Systems

Monitoring Systems for Commercial Interiors projects

Hi everyone, we are searching for pilots credits for a corporative office that wants to pursues LEED ID+C certification in a certified LEED BD+C Core and Shell Gold project.

I am not sure about the extension of this credit. It says that the building have to monitor de ocupants, visits and vehicles per day, but it does not point if the project have to monitor all the building data or only the LEED project boundary data.

In the case of the main building has a monitor system and they provided the data for the Corporative offices, could apply for the credit?

Thanks in advance.

For pilot credits such as Advanced Transportation Monitoring, the monitoring boundary should align with the LEED project boundary, not necessarily the entire building if the project is part of a larger Core and Shell development. Therefore, if the base building already has a monitoring system in place and can provide reliable, disaggregated data specific to the tenant/ID+C space (e.g., occupants, visitors, and vehicle counts attributable to the project area), this data may be acceptable for credit compliance. However, it is important that the data clearly represents the performance of the LEED-certified scope and is not diluted by unrelated building areas. Clear documentation of the data boundaries, methodology, and allocation approach should be provided to demonstrate compliance with the pilot credit intent. If uncertainty remains, it is recommended to confirm applicability directly with GBCI through a CIR (Credit Interpretation Request).
