I'm wondering if my understanding of the ID+C reference manual (pg 311) is correct: no airflow monitoring equipment is needed if the ventilation system isn't in the scope of work? Has anyone submitted a v4 CI project w/o airflow monitoring devices without a comment?

We have earned this prerequisite on a LEED v4 for Commercial Interiors project without airflow monitoring devices. We provide this statement in the special circumstances portion of the LEEDonline form, "Ventilation systems are part of the base building systems and are not included in the project scope of work, therefore outdoor air monitoring is not required or provided.".

It seems on our office TI project, for some critical interior spaces we're going to have to add ventilation intakes to supplement the air provided by the base building systems. I'd assume we need to provide airflow monitoring on this additional outdoor air system but not on the base building systems that are outside our scope of work.
