Hi everyone,
Since I know we have a lot of talented people in this group, I'd like to reach out to those of you based in Los Angeles and see if anyone is interested in talking at an upcoming Living Building Challenge collaborative event. The topic of the meeting is "Selecting Healthy Materials 101: From the perspectives of manufacturers, contractors and architects".
So far we have a contractor talking about sourcing healthy materials on an LBC project, and a product rep that will be speaking about the process of getting a Declare label. We'd love to add an architect or spec-writer to the speaker group, to discuss the process of selecting healthy materials that also meet design requirements.
This event is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday March 20th. Please let me know if you, or someone you know, would be interested in speaking.
In other news, AIA LA COTE just had their first ever Symposium on Climate Change, and it was a fantastic turnout! I'm so happy with the momentum in Los Angeles and hope to keep it going!
