I am working on a manufacturing facility addition where the owner wants to pursue LEED certification. The LEED energy model turned out that we are not going to meet the 10% minimum. The owner now wants to pursue the Core Performance prescriptive option.
The Core Performance document doesn't address whether or not it applies to manufacturing facilities, but it does say that it's most applicable to office, education, public assembly, and retail.
This seems to me to be the way around builidings with high process loads. Does LEED have any guidelines on this? I've searched the CIR database, and could find nothing regarding this topic.

Projects can only use Core Performance for the project types it has included. If it is not a listed project type then the project cannot use Core Performance.
