Hello,
how does LEED define a manufacturer? It seems quite a no-brainer, but we got a lot of different "commercial" manufacturer names (with different names on bills, invoices, declarations etc.) that have the same manufacturer (or owner of the declaration sometimes) name on the EPD. Should we count them as one manufacturer?
More in general, should a big multinational company that produces different types of products in different parts of the world considered one manufacturer in the BPDO credits even if products are produced (or marketed) by different sub-companies?
Thank you

We've asked the same question in the past because as a global manufacturer, we develop EPDs for products based on legal entity and manufacturing sites. The legal name of the company is included in the product name of the EPD and the LCA results are different for each entity since site-specific data for each entity is used in the calculations.
The official answer we received was: "If the manufacturers are specific separate legal entities, each one could be considered to be a different manufacturer"
