We intend to certify an existing office building which is going to be renovated with the following criteria:
- 40% of the overall building area will be renovated
- The project is not touching the building envelope and the roof
- Creation of new office units in accordance with fire protection
- Creation of new meeting rooms
- Replacement of the complete ceilings
- Upgrading of the electrical installation (new lighting, fire alarm systems, safety lighting)
- Cooling of all offices and meeting rooms
- New building automation
- New sculleries and break rooms
- New furniture
Is the degree of renovation mentioned above considered as “major” in the sense that System NC Major Renovation can be used for this project?

We have a very similar case, and are interested if there are any opinions in this matter?

Sounds like Interior Design and Construction: Commercial Interiors (ID&C CI) would be most appropriate for projects like this, even though it sounds like a "major renovation." In this situation, BD&C wouldn't be appropriate since the project isn't renovating the entire building area, or the envelope, and it sounds like the base building central HVAC equipment would remain.
