Dear All,
I have a large parking structure (on grade) located inside the project site.
It is likely that the roof will prevent uplighting. The luminaires are far away from the lighting boundary the no light trespass shoule be worried.
My question is that are these luminares should be considered as interior light adn exempt from SSc6?
Thanks,
Tom

Looking thru ASHRAE 90.1 and the energy modeling credits, A parking garage with open walls for ventilation is considered inside of the building, even though this is an unenclosed space.
If there is a roof, it is indoor light. It has to comply with the lighting controls for indoor lighting. 9.4.1.2 refers to 9.4.1.1(i) for automatic shutoff. Any lights within 20' (6 meters) of the open perimeter walls shall reduce power automatically in response to daylight.
Uncovered parking is an exterior space and must comply with the rules for this credit. This often applies to the top level of the parking structure if there is uncovered parking.
