Hello!
I got a question regarding the credit LTc7.The project wich I am working with, doesnt have a parking, so, at is says in the leed guide "Projects with no associated off-street parking automatically achieve credit compliance; no calculations or preferred parking spaces are required”, its asumed that I get the credit point. But my question is about the examplary performamce, do I earn it? I am a liltle confused because to get the examplary performance we need to achieve a 60%80% parking reduction from the base ratios.
Thank you for your time.
Best regards.

Hi Maria, I wish this was published guidance somewhere but I've only heard it informally from USGBC. You can achieve exemplary performance with a 100% reduction i.e. zero parking. However, you should provide a narrative or supporting document showing that the project is not required to have zero parking per local code (might be the case for a small project, or a unique use like a transit station). Basically the reviewer would want to see that not providing any parking is a choice the project team made versus standard practice.

It's hard to find any wording for it. Any luck in actually getting it ?
