Can anyone confirm if v4.1 requires color rendering / color fidelity index requirements to be met to achieve the Lighting Control option? LEEDuser does not state this, but the credit language states:
Step 4. For Projects Pursuing Lighting Control
Specify all light sources to meet the credit requirements for color rendering index or color fidelity index.
Identify all occupant spaces in the project.
Design lighting controls for each of these spaces to meet the credit requirements.
Is this an error in the reference guide?

My guess is that you found an error in the reference guide. Curiously, that same line was in the April 2021 version and in the November 2020 version. But since that requirement is not in the actual balloted rating system, I do not believe it can be introduced in the unballoted reference guide. I personally think it might have been inadvertently pasted there and then just overlooked (until now!).

Bryna, can you clarify what you are referring to for the "ballotted rating system"? Can you point to an article or other location where USGBC/GBCI has identified the version to which you are referring?
Projects are eligible to use any of the versions of 4.1 language that have been issued, acknowledging that there have been a few typos and other errors in various sections through their 11 iterations (or at least 11 that I'm aware of since initial release).

@emily, with apologies, you are right, I should not have included the word "balloted", as of course v4.1 is not balloted yet! In my quest to emphasize the heirarchical difference between the rating system and the reference guide, I misspoke there. But I still think that the rating system language would govern. And best as I can tell, the v4.1 rating system language makes no reference to CRI in the portion about light control. Only the reference guide does.

Phew! I thought I'd missed an article or announcement about it!
