We are preparing to register a project for LEED v4 Existing Buildings O+M, and I need to determine whether we should use the Group Certification approach or register our project as a single building.

The project is a single connected superstructure, owned, occupied, and operated by the same party. The superstructure is about 500,000 square feet and is a commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The structure is separated into two portions that are connected by an interior circulation bridge spanning over a railroad track. The space is one contiguous enclosure. We have reviewed the Supplemental Guidance to the Minimum Program Requirements and are unclear on two things:

1. Does the Supplemental Guidance to the Minimum Program Requirements, Revision 2, Updated September 1, 2011 apply to LEED v4, or is there a different guidance document for the LEED v4 MPRs?

2. According to Page 22 of the aforementioned document, or according to the relevant guidance document if the aforementioned document is not relevant to LEED v4, does our building qualify as a single building?

Thanks for any opinions!
