A portion of our building envelope is historic. Can we exclude it from our model?
For an existing building, do I need to rotate the model?
Our process load is higher than 25%. Do we have to justify that?
Our local code references ASHRAE 90.1-2010. Should I use that for my documentation, or 90.1-2007?
Can mezzanines open to floors below be excluded from the energy model?
How do I provide a zip code for an international location?
For a project outside the U.S., how do I determine the climate zone?
For a project outside the U.S., how do I determine the Target Finder score?
Do hotel rooms need automatic light shut-off control?
How commonly are the 90.1 mandatory compliance forms submitted as part of EAp2/EAc1?
The Section 9 space-by-space method does not include residential space types. What should I use?
Can the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) be used to energy model for LEED?
Which baseline HVAC system do I use if my building has no heating or air conditioning?
Our project has a diesel backup generator. Should we include it in our energy model?
Can SHGC be higher in the proposed than in the baseline model?

EAp2-16 is for other software not covered in EAp2-11 to EAp2-15. So the reports will vary depending on the software. In general you will need summary output reports to verify the results reported in the form. Summary input reports are supposed to verify the major modeling inputs. No need to verify them all, samples are fine in many cases.

mmm...trnsys doesn't really have input or output summary reports. You can output results. I have setup the models such that most parameters of the equipment can be printed out, but it will print out every timestep. beyond that there is the dck file (input file), but with a model this large and complicated, it will be useless to a reviewer. Even my results have to be cobbled together in excel sheets. I propose to summarize the inputs as they are in the model...but it is not automated in anyway or generated in anyway. The outputs are the results...so that is a bit double. Any thoughts?

The purpose of providing the summary input reports is to verify that you have modeled what you said you have modeled in Table 1.4. Believe it or not many models claim an input in Table 1.4 that has not been correctly modeled in the software. If you do not submit any (or useless) summary input reports then the reviewer will either ask you for some or take you at your word and review only the Table 1.4 data. You could supplement the information provided in Table 1.4 with more details in a spreadsheet created from the models. For example, provide a spreadsheet that contains each baseline system with is corresponding air flows and fan power and/or perhaps a breakdown of lighting power density by space, etc.
