LEED v4.1 announced @ Greenbuild? & testing the message board

I have to admit that I wasn't particularly paying attention to LEED during Greenbuild, but anyone recall the "big announcement by USGBC" that LEED v4.1 is coming?

Article can be found @ Green Building Law Update by Stuart Kaplow and the title is "LEED v4.1 Announced by USGBC at Greenbuild."

https://www.greenbuildinglawupdate.com/2017/11/articles/leed/leed-v4-1-announced-by-usgbc-at-greenbuild/?utm_source=Stuart+Kaplow+-+Green+Building+Law+Update&utm_campaign=b8f52d5621-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8d988983f7-b8f52d5621-71226225

Changes outlined in the article seem like a "lessons learned & minor tweak," but I would like to hear if you have any more insight on what to expect.

Now, testing the message board part..

1. It seems like I can't directly hyperlink the article. Looks like a safety measure, and no complaints..

2. There is no "cancel" option (You can tell that I change my mind a lot on whether write/post or not..)

3. Looks like no auto correct.. (as much as I hate the auto correct, I stopped a proof reading & spell check.. it is going to be interesting..)

4. Is there any other way to access the forum without going thru "my account/account setting"?

5. I'm going to "reply" to "no-reply" email to test comment option..

This is it for now. Thank you BuildingGreen for creating a new sandbox to play in..

Instant correction.. forget about "no hyperlink" comment.. looks like it does hyperlink the article.. it doesn't appear that way while typing..

The LEEDv4.1 announcement was made during Session B14: "All Building and Places In...". I just happened to attend the session to learn more about ARC, but the session was the introduction of LEEDv4.1 by Melissa Baker and others. Here are my scribbled notes on it: It will be mostly a "very targeted scope of changes" focusing on underutilized credits or ones that were never flushed out well to begin with such as the Supply Chain Optimization. They used the terms guidance, streamlining, and globalization for many of the credit changes. Timeline: Tech committees have already begun, there will be pilot projects and a member ballot. It is scheduled to be available in 1Q 2019. LEED for Homes will combine all three rating systems into one "LEED Residential". LEED-ND will streamline and connect with LEED for Cities / Commuinities. EBOM will have the biggest changes by adding Interiors projects, adjusting market barriers in prerequisites, and integrating ARC. Performance will be a requirement of all v4.1 projects via ARC. They stressed that LEEDv4.1 is NOT LEEDv5!

Hi Seonhee, I'm the web designer at BuildingGreen -- thanks for your constructive feedback about the forum! In response to your question: 4. Is there any other way to access the forum without going thru "my account/account setting"? If you scroll down to the footer on BuildingGreen.com, you'll see a link to "Green Gurus" and any other private communities you belong to. We added that feature yesterday :-) I am keeping a list of tweaks and improvements we can make to the private forums -- I'll add underlines to the links so you can see them more easily in the text editor. Thanks again for the feedback, and please keep it coming! Cheers, Andrea
