Hi All,
does anyone try to use the spreadsheet updated on 4/5/2016?
In the "Baseline Calculation" sheet, errors occur at anytime I tried to fill in a value under "Monthly Rainfall" or Monthly ET0".
Macros are enabled and I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if there is some problem within the spreadsheet.
Thanks in advance for your help. I really appreciate it!

Hi Clara,
Are you using the EPA Watersense water budget tool that you can download at this link?:
https://www3.epa.gov/watersense/water_budget/
Try downloading the latest version and let me know if that addresses the problem.
Best,
Alan

Hi Alan,
the project I'm working on is in Italy so it is recommended to use the LEED v4 Outdoor Water Use Reduction Calculator you can find at this link;
http://www.usgbc.org/resources/outdoor-water-use-reduction-calculator.
I heard other people who have encountered the same problem, I hope It will be fixed soon.
Thank you for your suggestion.

Hi Clara,
I downloaded the calculator from USGBC (updated 4/5/2016) and did not encounter an error when entering rainfall and ETO. If you continue to encounter errors, please let me know and I will do my best to bring this to the attention of the USGBC. In the meantime, other than lacking the option to enter data in SI or IP units, the EPA Watersense calculator appears to be equivalent, so you could convert the data and use this.
Best,
Alan

Thank you Alan, I unlocked the spreadsheet just to understand where was the problem and I found that the Excel function "RANK" under the hidden column G was not recognized by the Excel Italian version which required the same function to be written in Italian...
Anyway, thank you for your support.

Dear Clara,
I have the same problem. Can you advise me how to fix the calculator on my own as you did?
Thank you in advance.

There was an update, the new calculator is V2. It works for me with V2.

Thank you for your answer. I suppose, that I am working on the most current version which I found under Outdoor water use reduction/Resources tab:
https://www.usgbc.org/resources/outdoor-water-use-reduction-calculator
and it does not work for me. Cara’s problem seems similar to mine so I would be very grateful for constructive advice.

hello dear clara
may i ask you a question ?
do you know to analyse a structure to know that is it green or not,for example about outdoor water use reduction, what are the questions that i should ask the project's team to understand that the project is green or not ?
thank you,it's kind of you to answer and help me.
best regards

For indoor water use you would want to focus on Low Impavt Development techniques and native drought tolerate plant selections. You could ask about how much tuff grass is on the project?
Increase pervious ground cover. Consider self contained watering like Mimi wetland systems by road or median areas. Implement drip irrigation as much as possible. The intent is too make Beaty without the need for water to do it.

thanks Robyn Dowsey , you are right.
i am considering a project ( hotel) to understand that how far it is to be a green building by LEEd, and then i want to give them suitable suggestions to get green, and now i want to prepare a checklist to ask them to know their qualification and now i want to know what are the suitable questions i should put in the checklist to ask them to know what i want ?
