LEED V4 EBOM Heat Island Reduction - Parking

Hello,

 

I have question regarding LEED EBOM v4 - Heat Island Reduction, Option 4 Parking under cover. We have a building that have shared parking with a neighboring building. Majority of the parking is underneath the neighboring building and some spaces are outside. Both occupants in the buildings are allowed to use any of the parking as both buildings are owned by the same property owners. Can we still use go for Option 4 or does the parkingspots need to allocated to each building?

Hi Elin, The spaces do not have to be allocated per building if that scenario does not reflect reality. Since the parking is shared, you would just need to show that the minimum % for the credit compliance applies to the total parking available.
