Hello,
I am currently answering review comments from certification unit for C&S office buiilding. We are struggling with exterior lighting issue, because proposed external lighting power appears to be greater than in the baseline, yet after consultation with Designers no mistake was found (high density power luminaires in short distance from each other were used). Is there any exception, additional lighting power allowance or any way to gain compliance with LEED requirements, as we cannot see possibility to reduce proposed external lighting for the moment?

The exterior lighting provisions are a mandatory provision. LEED projects must comply with all mandatory provisions. Check for any exceptions in 90.1 Section 9. The exterior lighting provisions are typically very generous and virtually all project easily demonstrate savings. Regarding LEED, any exception would be up to the discretion of the reviewer and GBCI. I would ask this question of your reviewer as a project team inquiry. https://www.usgbc.org/contactus
