Dear all,
I'm working on a vertical attached building project. The project is a synthesize building with office, shopping mall and residence.
The shopping mall is the basement building, the office and the residence is vertical attached respectively to the shopping mall. (the office and the residence has not connected anywhere)
The owner aim to apply the LEED certification for office building only, however, we are not sure if the LEED project boundary must include all the building which attache to the ground (i.e. the office building and shopping mall) or just the office building.
If the shopping mall must be included in the boundary, should the requirements of the area of the shopping mall be corresponding with the certification area (office area) in terms of SRI, water conservation, etc?
If the shopping mall is not obliged to be included in the boundary, how could we calculate the imperviousness ground area? In addition, should the underground parking area and shower room be accounted into the project?
Thank you very much

Nan, I suggest reading the forums for MPR #2: Must be a complete, permanent building or space as well as MPR #3: Must use a reasonable LEED Boundary and the MPR supplemental guidance document which addresses vertically attached buildings.
