We are currently conducting an LCA for Office Furniture Workspace Products; in order to present the LCA results in the most flexible way and to facilitate the publication of future EPDs, the EPD results would be presented in 2 tables:
1. A table presenting the results of the LCA of the final product Expansion Casegoods, by life cycle stages (raw materials, production, distribution/use and end-of-life)
2. A table presenting the results of the LCA into the following 3 major sub products: the hutch, the work surface and the pedestal box
Since the results of the LCA results are presented into the 3 separate products, can the separate products serving a different function contribute individually as a product with an EPD – even though they share the same EPD? For example, the work surface serves a different function than the hutch... can they count for 2 products with a EPD?

This one sounds a little dicey to me. If it's essentially the same piece of furniture, I think you need to count it as one thing. If you're buying 35 of one thing and 65 of another thing and they are two different types of furniture, that would be more likely to fly as separate products. Let us know if you get an answer!
