Has anyone successfully used this credit (EBOM - 2009 - MRc6 Solid Waste Managment - Waste Stream Audit) to achieve an innovation and design credit under the LEED 2009-NC rating system?
Is there any reason to think it wouldn't work?

Tim, I haven't done it but I have no reason to think that it wouldn't work.
