Hi
This is regarding one of our projects in India. We are going for a certification of 6 buildings in a campus via the group credits approach. 3 out of the 6 buildings has received LEED India NC Rating in 2010 along with the entire campus. Can someone tell me if we can pitch for SSC1 credit since the entire campus has been abiding with the principles of sustainability.

Kevin, I'd say that the credit language is pretty clear in specifying that the individual LEED-EBOM building should be LEED-certified. That language has been expanded over the years to include new rating systems, but it hasn't changed its focus. Also, I am not clear on how the entire campus is LEED certified, if LEED-ND is not involved, and not all the individual buildings are certified. That wouldn't be possible in the U.S.

Thanks for your prompt response Tristan. Actually, the campus got certified in 2010 under IGBC LEED NC campus rating system. Under this only 3 buildings have got certified while two additional did not go for certification since they were not regularly occupied at that time. At this stage, the two additional plus another building want to go for LEED EBOM in addition to the previously certified 3 buildings. Hope I am able to make the things clear.

Hi Kevin, I recommend contacting GBCI directly. They can help you sort out your strategy for SSc1.
Thanks!
