We are reviewing a project looking to register under LEED ID+C Commercial Interiors v4. The project involves the interior renovation of a museum, with at least 60-75% of the space being renovated, including new HVAC and lighting for the entire building. There is some additional insulation on the interior of the building, but not exterior modifications are proposed, and no additional space is being built.
Are we correct in assuming this would fall under the ID+C Commercial Interiors rating system?
Thank you.

This sound like the ID+C rating system would be the most appropriate. When in doubt we contact USGBC and they issue a case number via email so the particulars of the project can be provided and a determination made by USGBC. Our office recently had a project who’s scope include a renovation to a portion of an existing building as well as transforming a portion of the existing parking lot to an exterior amenities area. USGBC informed us that the ID+C rating system was most appropriate for the project.
