Dear All,
I am working on two office buildings for LEED-CS v3 and plan to achieve SS Credit 8 Light Pollution Reduction. These buildings are parts of LEED-ND v4 project. So, I am wondering, for LEED-CS v3 credit Light Pollution Reduction, these two office buildings can use the compliance LEED-ND ND v4 credit Light Pollution Reduction for the LEED-CS v3 credit Light Pollution Reduction? In other words, the buildings automatically achieve the LEED-CS v3 credit Light Pollution Reduction if the LEED-ND v4 project including these two buildings achieves LEED-ND v4 Light Pollution Reduction?

There is a LEED campus approach that can be used. LEED Application Guide for Multiple Buildings and On-Campus Building Projects (AGMBC) This is detailed here.

You still need to comply with the interior lighting requirements of CSv3. You may want to claim the v4 approach which removed the interior lighting requirements. But you have to say in the form that you are opting to comply with v4 requirements.
I would then claim in the form that this project is within LEED-ND project #XXXXXXXXXXXX. The ND project has earned the light pollution reduction credit. Attach all documentation that was provided for the ND project related to this credit.

Hi Bill,
Yes, I've been aware of what you suggested. I plan to meet LEED CS v4 Light Pollution Reduction but with the LEED campus approach. What I am not sure is whether LEED-ND v4 can also be the compliance for LEED CS v4 with the campus approach even though these two credits' details are a bit different (i.e. BUG rating limits).
I would prefer to meet LEED ND v4 rather than LEED CS v4. If I claim the compliance of LEED ND v4, the two office towers can achieve LEED CS v4 Light Pollution Reduction? Am I correct?
