Hi,
We are designing a Commercial Interior v4 Space in a building that is already certified under CS v2009 with a Platinum level. We would like to know if there are any automatically earned points by doing this as it was in the v3 certification process.
Thanks in advance

Hello all,
Just following up on this post. I am currently writing a LEED CS 2009 Tenant Design Guideline, of which describes how the CS 2009 building contributes to LEED ID+C CI v4.
Any guidance on how LEED CS 2009 contributes to LEED ID+C CI v4 would help.

For Gabriela's question, no, CI v4 does not automatically award you points if you choose to move into a building that was CS certified under v3 (or v4, for that matter). That said, it can make your certification process much easier if your base building has pursued (and especially certified) under a version of LEED, whether it was CS, NC, or EBOM. If your base building is willing to share their documentation, it can be a big time saver for your CI project.
Ashley, for your question, the way we went about writing our tenant guidelines on a CS project was to have a section of the guidelines dedicated specifically to sustainability and LEED certification, and then cross-checked that section with the other sections of the guidelines to make sure it was consistent. You can find an example of a submission on the forum page dedicated to CS v3, SS Cr 9 located here: https://leeduser.buildinggreen.com/credit/CS-2009/SSc9
Look also at the documentation toolkit section for a template: https://leeduser.buildinggreen.com/credit/CS-2009/SSc9#docs
To my knowledge, there is no page related to updating the content, itself from v3 to v4; that is something you'll need to analyze and determine on your own, in the specific context of your base building.

Good news for LEED ID+C: Commercial Interiors LEED v4 projects, check the Innovation Catalog under Innovation: Site Selection. This innovation credit states "Select a LEED certified building (2 points)." https://www.usgbc.org/node/11836132?return=/credits/commercial-interiors...
