NC-2009 IEQc4.2:Low-Emitting Materials—Paints and Coatings

Leather

Hello! We are building a deluxe hotel and the interiorist is willing to use leather coating for room doors. I´m not pretty sure if is it possible to use this material in a willing to certify NC building, or if there´s no problem with it if we pay attention to the adhesive we use! I´m not finding anything about this material but i suspect it´s not allowed... Can you help me!? Thanks!

For the adhesives, yes they would need to be low emitting if the product is applied on site. Otherwise, I'd say new leather isn't LEED-able in the MRc6 sense but aren't banned. Not sure how much this will help you but here is a recycled leather product: http://www.ecodomo.com/products/recycled.shtml .
