I am evaluating the feasibility of obtaining LEED certification for a hotel that is already under construction.
It is my understanding that other projects have submitted applications even though the project had already begun. Does anyone have any feedback concerning the (late) documentation of the Poll.Prev.Plan (inspections, photos, etc.)?

This can be a tough one. The first thing you should do is check that your project is actually compliant with the prerequisite. A lot of projects are…but some are not. For projects that were compliant in the past it’s was easier because we didn’t need to submit photo documentation. Is all we needed to do was make sure the existing plan was compliant and check a few boxes in the template, write a narrative and submit project drawings showing compliance.
For 2009 projects, I would check with the GC because they generally take numerous photos during construction, see what they have that might be useful. The requirements on LEED Online say that you need 3 photos from 3 inspections equally spaced over the site work period. This may be tough to get. You could always write a CIR and see if you can get by with just a narrative and project drawings.
For projects that are not compliant, there is nothing you can do…nothing that I know of at least.
Good luck!
