Do joint compounds, joint sealants, and other wall board assembly items need to be accounted for in this credit as well as 4.1? Our wallboard, insulation, and clg tiles all meet the schools criteria, but the sealants are all just standard low-voc. Thanks

While it would be beneficial to the indoor air quality for the joint compounds/sealants and other assembly items to be low emitting, for this credit they don't have to be. While the credit title calls out wall systems, in the credit it only mentions gypsum board and wall coverings. The other products that you mention should try to meet the low emitting requirements of LEED for Schools IEQ c4.1 as there are many of these types of products available now. Good luck with the building.
Thanks Josh. This isn't a school project and I didn't realize the distinction between the VOC testing levels before. I'm going to aim to get this standard into our specs moving forward!
