Pre-Summit workshop on Leading Change
Wednesday, July 31, 9am - 3pm, Miller Hull Office, Seattle
As leaders in the field, you are on the forefront of changes in the way we approach building and design. What are the mindsets and tools that increase your likelihood of success? While we know that most change initiatives fail, we also know that most leaders do not understand how to design for successful transition to new ways of working. Understanding how people experience, adapt to, and embrace change enables you to generate momentum, build partnerships, and ultimately succeed. This engaging, interactive workshop will provide both models and action-oriented solutions for creating movement within yourself, your firm, your clients, and your industry.
About presenter: Barbara Grant, MA A.B.S., CEO
Barbara is an engaging presenter and insightful thinking partner. As a strategic partner, Barbara partners with leaders in multiple roles to help build strength and advance mission impact. Her own leadership experience ranges from building programs in prisons, to a decade at Microsoft, including directing Microsoft’s Leadership Development programs worldwide. Nadav had a chance to collaborate with Barbara on strategic planning for AIA Seattle, and was really impressed by her talent for connecting dots and revealing the system dynamics at play in a complex network.
