Hi everyone -
The State of Oregon just posted this Policy Analyst Job Posting. The position is specifically looking for someone to assist in embodied carbon and other sustainable code items. I have heard directly from Oregon's Building Code Division that even though the position is looking for public policy, an architect or engineer (or environmental studies) could be considered as well. During the last legislative session, Oregon passed HB 3409, an omnibus climate bill with 17 separate provisions, including a requirement that the Building Codes Division do the research necessary to consider the addition of embodied carbon requirements into Oregon's Building Code (similar to what California recently passed).
Please forward this to anyone that you think might be interested - Oregon could use your/their expertise!
