Dear All,
Our project is located in Portugal and the project team is intendend to install a WaterSense irrigation controller.
However, on a contact with Rainbird Supplier, the supplier referred that the models WaterSense labeled are not commercialized in the European Union (EU) and is not compatible with EU systems for technical reasons (Electrical reasons).
Anyone did already have the same problem?
Thanks in advance,
Ben Stanley

Pedro,
I haven't had direct experience with this issue and it looks like USGBC hasn't published an equivalent labeling program in the EU except for potentially the European Water Label http://www.europeanwaterlabel.eu. Given the situation, I would think that you might be able to install an irrigation controller that has been commercialized in the EU and then make the case that the installed controller has been shown to save at least 15% irrigation water savings from a baseline water applied. If you were to try this you'd probably need independent research or manufacturer documentation supporting the expected savings.
