Introduction

Hello and Happy New Year!

I joined the SAL Peer Network a few months back and I’m really excited to be part of this group, although a bit delayed in my introduction. I’m an architect working as a consultant and managing the Sustainability Department at Entegrity (an energy and sustainability consulting firm) located in Arkansas. I’ve been with Entegrity for about 6 years now and have learned a lot on this road. Prior to Entegrity I lived a long stent in the Pacific NW and a short stent in Arizona where I practiced architecture.

Predominately our Sustainability team at Entegrity specializes in LEED Certification but we also help project teams with specialized interest like Net Zero or Indoor Air Quality (two of our favorite passions) or any other rating systems that might fit their goals. We are also dipping our toe into the  world of embodied carbon metrics and are excited to bring our clients along with us on this adventure. We work all over the United States but the bulk of our work is in the south and midwest. A lot of our work tends to revolve around education at a variety of different levels and working with out teams to help them understand the connection of sustainable design to resilience and climate change.

A few personal things about me… I have a 9 year old boy who keeps me busy and reminds me everyday why I’m working on a small piece of this giant climate change puzzle. I teach crew in my freetime (which I have little of) and started a masters and youth training program in Fayetteville AR where I currently live. My family and I love to travel and explore urban environments and wild places but have put that mostly on hold since March of 2020.  I have a wonderful grouchy old cat but not a dog, however I’m lobbying my family hard to get one. Any tips on that front are welcome.  Excited to get to know you all better in 2021!
