NC-2009 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performance
We are developing a building energy modeling of a residential building based on 90.1-2007.
The dwelling units have exterior areas (balconies) that have luminaires.
These luminaires have to be modeled as interior or exterior lighting?
The control and energy consumption of each luminaire is designated for each dwelling unit. That is to say, these luminaires are not common fixtures.

A portion of our building envelope is historic. Can we exclude it from our model?
For an existing building, do I need to rotate the model?

Our project has a diesel backup generator. Should we include it in our energy model?
