Given that ASHRAE 62.1 generally does not cover industrial spaces, how are people meeting this requirement for industrial buildings? Are you basing compliance off of the Industrial Ventilation Manual from ACGIH? Are you showing compliance only for non-industrial areas of the buildings?

Andrew, this is a good question. For special building types, like hospitals and laboratories, designers will have to follow other guidelines in addition to ASHRAE 62. I've relied on the Industrial Ventilation manual for fabrication shops in museums. Note there is a space type in ASHRAE 62 that covers wood/metal shops. I would go with that at minimum for the ventilation rate procedure and then describe in the LEED template use of the ACGIH guidance, which should result in higher exhaust/make-up air rates.
