Question regarding documenting this innovation credit, the credit requirements highlight the steps for calculating the bird collision rating (BCR), and mention we are to multiply the threat factor of each material by the area of it on the facade. I'm working on a project with over 40 different materials on each facade face; however, almost all the materials have a threat factor of 0 with the exception of vision glazing at 100 and spandrel at 25. It makes sense to me that I wouldn't have to calculate the areas of every single different material on each facade if I know the threat factor is 0 and will ultimately be multiplied by 0, thus not contributing to the total building BCTR. Does anyone else document this credit by only including the glazing (or materials that have a threat factor) in the BTCR calculator and then just providing a total area for each facade? I'm thinking I will just leave a note in the narrative mentioning that areas for material with a threat factor of 0 were not calculated.
