Hi everyone! I'm pursuing this pilot credit for a LEED v4 NC office building. The ventilation system and equipment have been carefully designed, so the ventilation rates are above the minimum required by ASHRAE 62.1-2016 or later. In order to prove that, my plan is to submit the excel file with the calculations of ventilation rates. Would it be documentation enough to justify it?
And now comes my second question: if I meet the requirement #1b filtration (with air filters MERV 13 or above), do I have to submit the calculations for air changes per hour for occupied spaces? As it is an alternative option for #1b, I think I do not have to do it, but I would like to have some feedback from your experience.
Thank you!

Dear Irene,
Did you get any answers to your question? I am planning to apply for this pilot credit with the same approach.
Thank you!

I have submitted for this pilot credit and achieved it. There is no need submit the air changes for alternative option #1c if you meet #1b.

I agree with Helen, and have had similar experience with this pilot credit.
There is also some new credit language, or maybe it is not new but i just noticed it now:
"These special pilot credits are awarded based on project teams attempting to meet the requirements to the best of their ability and providing feedback on the requirements."
I remember when pilot credits first began, project teams were awarded the credit if 'best faith' efforts were made to achieve the credit. Looks like this allowance is back on some of the pilot credits....i like it.

Agreed, if the project complies with #1b with MERV-13 filters or higher, #1c air change calculations are not required.
