NC-v4 WEc2:Indoor water use reduction

how to justify the conformity of our dishwashers with energy star while knowing that they do not hold the ENERGY STAR certific?

Hello everyone,

We have dishwashers that do not hold an energy star certificate but their performance (idle energy rate, energy washing and water consumption) are below the ENERGY STAR limit thresholds. Is this sufficient or do we need specific documents to submit to the GBCI reviewers? do we have  ask manifacturer how the measurements of these indicators were made? Do we need letters of declaration?

Thanks you!

Hi Sara, If your project is in the US, then they would have to be EnergySTAR certified. If they are outside of the US, then I believe some sort of manufacturer's documentation showing that their performance either matches or is better than ES must be provided, and that's all you need to do. If you had to do any calculations, conversions, etc., you should include those and a little descriptive narrative to be safe.
