Hi, I'm working on a Campus project that mainly has dormitories, warehouses, services, and offices, the manufacturer's area is almost 65% of the total gross floor area of the campus. we are struggling to find the more stringent rating system to pursue in Green vehicle credit
NEW CONSTRUCTION requirements are to Designate 5% of all parking spaces used by the project as preferred parking for green vehicles and 2% for EVSE (charger station).
WAREHOUSES AND DISTRIBUTION CENTERS (Option 1. Provide an on-site fleet with at least one yard tractor that is powered by electricity, propane, or natural gas. Provide on-site charging or refueling stations for the vehicles. Liquid or gas refueling stations must be separately ventilated or located outdoors).
OR
(Option 2. Provide an electrical connection for at least 50% of all dock door locations to limit truck idling at the dock)
The parking area for the cars is so minimal because the workers and staff already have their residents there, so if we back to the intent which is '' to reduce pollution by promoting alternatives to conventionally fueled automobiles'', we think that the warehouse and distribution system requirements will leave more impact than the green vehicle and charger station for cars.
How to determine which rating system should we use?

Hi Maysoon - great question! Have you decided on using the group or campus approach? (take a look at page 10 of the v4 BD+C Reference Guide for description of the two approaches)
