Hello - The project I am working on will have an arena and auction hall in the building. It is my understanding these spaces are considered a shared multioccupant space per LEED. The project team is considering including ceiling fans, perhaps the large destratification fans, and a thermostat in these spaces. Would any of these strategies meet the requirement even though visitors will not have access to adjust them? Because this is a large public space, the building owners do not want visitors adjusting the controls. Only staff will be allowed to adjust them. A similar question has been posed on other LEEDUser forums, but I do not see a definitive answer. Thanks for your help.

Yes, those are considered shared multioccupant spaces and would therefore each require a thermal comfort control which is accessible by the occupants. If the majority of the occupants (visitors) do not have the ability to adjust the controls, they do not qualify.
