NC-v4 EAc3:Advanced energy metering

High Rise Residential

We have a 24 story high rise residential apartment project that wants to pursue this credit however we are looking for guidance as this seems more geared towards commercial office projects with multiple tenants. Have there been any official guidance for residential projects? Would it require the need to sub-meter all uses per unit? This seems excessive.

Yep that would be a boat load of meters. I am not aware of any special exception for residential. Did you check the LEED Interpretations?

Haha! OK thanks Marcus. This confirms our understanding too... I think the boat may sink. We searched interpretations and didn't see anything posted yet. Looks like we may submit a CIR and will let ya'll know if there is any alternative compliance for this typology.

Hi Megan! Did you ever submit that CIR or get a resolution?
